It’s amazing to see how each of our bodies are so different - and how the best way to eat is often the most enjoyable! I see this played out with my kids all the time, their preferences each being so different.
My oldest dude would choose to eat a egg and ham english muffin sandwich every morning, with a few bites of lemony kale on the side. My middle guy can pound a green smoothie in about 30 seconds and then asks for more! And my baby girl just loves oatmeal.

Here is my go-to recipe for oatmeal that is as nourishing as it is comforting.
- ⅓ C gluten free oats
- 1 tbsp flax seed
- 1 tsp help seeds
- 1 tsp chia seeds
- Handful of blueberries
- ½ banana, sliced
- ¼ C almond milk
- Sprinkling of cacao nibs
Bring ⅔ C of water to a boil. Add oats and cook until softened (3-5 min). Pour into a bowl, and top with almond milk, fruit, and cacao nibs. You will be amazed at how clean and comforted you feel at the same time!!
